1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback - $302k

One of 499 built for 1970 by Ford contractor Kar Kraft and one of 76 produced in Calypso Coral with a black interior, 1970 Boss 429 Mustang, KK No. 2340, received a thorough rotisserie restoration to factory-original condition. Only offered for two years, 1969 (859 built) and 1970 (499 built), the Mustang Boss 429 is a true classic muscle car.

The Boss was rated very conservatively at 375 HP while actual output was believed to be well over 500.
Each car was equipped with mandatory 4-speed transmission, 9-inch rear end with 3.91 gears, functional hood scoop, oil cooler, competition suspension, staggered rear shocks, tachometer, power steering, power front disc brakes, front spoiler and 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels with Goodyear Polyglas tires.
For the 1970 model year, brighter exterior paints were available, including Calypso Coral, and a T-handle Hurst shifter became standard equipment. This immaculately restored and rare Calypso Coral Boss 429 is documented by two Ford invoices, restoration photos and an Elite Marti Report. The icon made $302k in 2018.
