The engine has been developed to deliver lag-free response with one turbocharger and intercooler per bank. This facilitates cylinder deactivation, with the engine shutting down a whole bank under gentle use to become a 2.6-liter inline-six. The transmission is an eight-speed ZF automatic with power sent to the rear wheels through a torque-vectoring differential. |

Ghibli is the name for the hot dry south-westerly wind of the Libyan desert. The Ghibli was first unveiled as a 2-seater prototype in November 1966. Deliveries started in March of 1967. |

Dubai Police sets 'fastest patrol supercar' world record

The speed of the Bugatti Veyron sports car, the fastest patrol car in the world, can reach 407 kilometres per hour at 1,000 horsepower, surpassing the previous police patrol record that was registered under a USA police force using a Lamborghini sports car, which reached a speed of 360 kilometres per hour. |
