NextEV Nio EP9 - New King of Electric Cars

NextEV is a Chinese EV maker. It's launching a range of electric cars starting in China next year. The company revealed an EV supercar—the 194mph (313km/h) EP9—just six of which will be built. The EP features rapidly swappable batteries with a range around 265 miles (426km) and a recharging time around 45 minutes. The chassis is carbon fiber, and it has a motor-generator unit at each wheel, with a peak power output of 1,341hp/1MW and 1091 ft-lbs/1480 Nm of torque.
The EP9 recently spent some time testing at the Nürburgring, setting a new electric lap record in the process. Previously, the fastest EV around the 12.9-mile (20.8km) track was Toyota's TMG EV P002 race car, which set a time of 7:22.329 in 2012. The Nio EP9 has shaved that down to just 7:05.120. The fastest Tesla lap is under nine minutes.

Mazzanti Evantra

The latest version of the Mazzanti Evantra boasts a new “Biplano” rear wing designed to boost downforce at speed. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 7.0-liter V-8 rated at 751 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a paddle-shifted, 6-speed sequential gearbox that spins the rear wheels. 0-60 mph time is 3.0 seconds or less on to a top speed of over 224 mph.

The debut of the updated Evantra marks the 10th anniversary of Mazzanti’s appearance on the world stage.
It was 2006 when the company showed off its first model, the Antas. It was followed by the Vulca in 2009 and the Evantra in 2013.

Production of Mazzanti’s cars is extremely limited. The Evantra, for example, is churned out a rate of just five cars per year.
The drivetrain sits in a monocoque chassis constructed from steel and molybdenum chrome alloy. The body can be ordered in aluminum or carbon fiber.
The suspension is fully-adjustable with MacPherson at both ends. The wheels measure 20 inches across and come from OZ Racing. They’re wrapped with Pirelli P Zero tires (255/30 front, 325/25 rear)
Price starts, if you're asking, around £670,000

Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder

The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder consists of lightweight aluminum and composite with the car weighing in at just under 3,400 pounds.

Power is provided by a 5.2-litre V10 engine which produces 610 hp and 412 lb.ft. of torque, relayed to the oversized tires (P245/30R20 up front and P305/30R20 in the rear) through a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission and all four wheels. The system is rear-biased, splitting the power 43% to the front and 57% to the rear. Top speed is 201 mph, with a 0-62 mph sprint time of 3.4 seconds.
To conserve fuel, the Huracán’s V10 features an engine start/stop system and, when the need for power is low, it shuts down five of its 10 cylinders.

Starting base MSRP is $262,350; delivery and fees bring the number to $267,545.

2017 #PinkBeetle

The first vehicle ever to officially be named as its own hashtag, the run of #PinkBeetle models are available in coupe and convertible and have gone on sale.

The pink Bug appeared in concept form as the Volkswagen Beetle Pink Edition at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. The production version wears vibrant Fresh Fuchsia Metallic paint, accented by glossy-black mirror caps and black running boards. Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED taillamps and LED rear license plate lighting are standard.
The #PinkBeetle sports a tartan plaid seat pattern in, naturally, pink. Standard features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, VW's 6.3-inch touch-screen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, heated front seats and keyless access with push-button start.

The #PinkBeetle uses the regular Beetle's base turbocharged, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Base MSRP for the coupe is $26,890, that rises to $30,890 for the convertible.

1962 Ferrari 250 GTO set to become world's most expensive car at £45 million

The Holy Grail of classic cars, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato) is one of the world's most sought after. This was the second to roll off the production line. Only 36 were made.

It raced at Le Mans and Sebring and, despite being almost 55 years old, is still capable of 0 to 60mph in around six seconds and a top speed of more than 170mph. Bonhams sold a Ferrari 250 GTO at a US auction in 2014 when it went for $38 million (£30 million). The last time a GTO was auctioned before that was in 1990.
The car was built in March 1962 and used by the Ferrari factory for testing before it was sold to Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team. In 1969 it was sold for $5,400 and then again, later that year, for $11,000. The car changed hands in 1975 when it was sold for $13,000. The car was restored and made $ 125,000 in 1978.

Special Editions mark end of the Viper - Sold Out

All 206 "Special Edition" Vipers sold out in five days. The best seller was the 1:28 Edition ACR. All were spoken for in 40 minutes. 32 VooDoo II Edition ACR models sold out in two hours. A hundred blue-with-white-stripe GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR and 25 metallic green Snakeskin Edition GTC models sold out in two days.

Lastly, 22 Dodge Dealer Edition ACR models, sold only through the 22 highest-volume showrooms in the country, sold out in five days.
Dodge is laying to rest the Viper. The end will come in 2017, but it won't be going gently, five special editions are being offered.

Details of four have been released.
Based on the production-spec ACR, the 1:28 Edition is designed to celebrate the car which achieved a production lap record around Laguna Seca.

Mechanically the special edition is standard, although carbon ceramic brakes and the extreme aero package have been added. No more than 28 examples will be built.
The Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition draws heavily on the 1998 GTS-R for inspiration. A pearl white paint job with blue pearl stripes complete with a red Stryker emblem on the hood marks the GTS-R GT2.
Just 100 examples will be built.
VooDoo II Edition ACR. The VooDoo II will be finished in black paint and metallic stripe, while the interior will be reworked to include silver accent stitching and a uniquely numbered instrument panel.

21 examples will be produced.
Snakeskin Edition GTC. Just 25 examples will be built.

These four cars, along with another special edition, will be produced for 2017. All are powered by the same 8.4-liter V10 as the standard cars. No pricing details have been released.

Base price for the 2016 Dodge Viper is $90,390. The ACR being what it is pushes that to $122,490.
