2016 Dodge Viper ACR

The 2016 Dodge Viper ACR claims a 177-mph top speed courtesy of a 8.4-liter V-10 that throbs out 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
Stopping power is provided by 15.4 inch carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers in front with 19-inch front wheels. The rear wheels hide 14.2-inch carbon-ceramic rotors with four-piston calipers.

The coil-over suspension features radically stiffer springs with height-adjustable perches, as well as adjustable shocks that can be tuned for rebound and jounce.
The ACR’s optional Extreme Aero package comes with a removable front splitter extension, an adjustable dual-element rear wing, four dive planes, six removable diffuser strakes, removable brake ducts, and hood louvers that can be popped out to decrease air pressure in the wheel wells.

Base price for the 2016 Dodge Viper is $90,390. The ACR being what it is pushes that to $122,490.

2016 Ferrari 488 GTB

The Ferrari 488 is a mid-engined sports car produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari, introduced in 2015 to replace the previous 458.

It is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 of 3,902 cc (238 cu in) all-aluminium dry sump unit of the Ferrari F154 engine family.
Turbocharged with two parallel ball-bearing twin-scroll turbochargers supplied by IHI and two air-to-air intercoolers, the compressor wheels are made of low-density TiAl alloy often used in jet engines to reduce inertia and resist high temperatures within the turbocharger. The engine produces 661 hp at 8,000 rpm and 561 lb·ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. This results in a specific power output of 169.4 hp per litre and specific torque output of 144 lb·ft per litre, both records for a Ferrari.
The transmission for the 488 is an automated manual dual-clutch 7-speed F1 gearbox manufactured for Ferrari by GETRAG, based on the gearbox used in the 458.
Carbon-ceramic brakes supply stopping power, constructed with materials that reduce the time needed to achieve optimum operating temperature. Disc sizes are 398 mm at the front, and 360 mm at the rear. A new 5-spoke 20 inch alloy wheel are front and rear.

2017 Ford GT

At the 2015 North American Auto Show Ford pulled the curtain off of the all-new 2017 Ford GT. With a super-light carbon fiber and aluminum construction, a 600-plus horsepower, EcoBoost V-6 and a race-ready cockpit, the latest Ford GT is hands down the best supercar in the history of the Blue Oval brand.

The 2017 Ford GT was conceived to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company’s legendary victory at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race, in which three Ford GT40 race cars swept first, second and third place.
It had to be fast tracked from concept to production, with testing and development compressed into the next 18 months in order to go on sale by the end of next year

Power will be sent to the rear wheels courtesy of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Said force is transmitted to the rear wheels with 20-inch alloy wheels wearing specially designed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.
The all-new GT starts production in 2016.

Ford has taken a page out of Ferrari’s book, and given the GT an F1-inspired steering wheel with all the needed controls for car function mounted to it. This opens up the steering column and gives uncluttered access to the shift paddles used to control the ’GTs transmission.
The GT should easily break the four-second barrier in the 60-mph sprint, and top speed should be in the 200-mph range.

Ford indicated it would be priced competitively with the Lamborghini Aventador – which carries a base sticker price approaching $400,000

Corvette - America’s Sports Car

The 1954 model year vehicles could be ordered in Pennant Blue, Sportsman Red and Black, or Polo White. 3,640 were built, and sold slowly.
The Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car manufactured by the Chevrolet division of General Motors. The car has been produced through seven generations.

The first model, a convertible, was designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept show car. Myron Scott is credited for naming the car after the type of small, maneuverable warship.

The first Corvette went into production in Flint, Mich. on June 30, 1953.

1956 Corvette
The 1958 Corvette received quad headlamps, bumper exiting exhaust tips and a new steering wheel. The 1959–60 model years had few changes except a decreased amount of body chrome and more powerful engine offerings.
In 1961, the rear of the car was completely redesigned with the addition of a "duck tail" with four round lights. The second generation (C2) Corvette introduced the Sting Ray. Production started for the 1963 model year and ended in 1967.
The third generation Corvette was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982. Styling changed subtly throughout the generation until 1978 for the car's 25th anniversary.

Regular fourth generation production began on January 3, 1983. Beginning in 1985, the 230 bhp (170 kW) L98 engine with tuned port fuel injection became the standard. Chevrolet released the Grand Sport (GS) version in 1996 to mark the end of production of the C4 Corvette.
Production of the C5 Corvette began in 1997 and ended with the 2004 model year. The C5 had a top speed of 181 mph (291 km/h) and was judged as improved in nearly every area over the previous Corvette design.
The sixth generation-C6 was produced between 2005 and 2013. The 6.0L (364 cu in) LS2 V8 produced 400 bhp giving the vehicle a 0–60 time of under 4.2 seconds. Its top speed was 190 mph (310 km/h).
The seventh generation corvette, the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07 was officially unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. Pricing of the Z07 is expected to be around $100,000.
The 2016 Corvete Z07 will have two engine variants. The first is a 4.5 liter twin-turbo generating up to 500 horsepower. The second will be a 6.2 liter V8 producing over 600 horsepower.

Both engines will be mated with the seven speed Tremec TR-6070 manual transmission and an eight speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
