Mystery 2017 Ford GT at Mecum = $ 1.8m

A 2017 Ford GT was a feature draw on the Mecum Auctions website, with a “main attraction” banner. The car made a hefty $ 1.8m. But the sale could be a breach of Ford’s customer agreement on the GT which requires buyers to hold the car for 24 months.

Mecum says the car is the 48th of 250 produced in 2017.
Twin turbocharged and intercooled 3.5/647 HP EcoBoost engine. 7-speed dual clutch automatic with manual shift mode. 0-60 MPH in 3.0 seconds. Top speed of 216 MPH. Active multi-mode suspension. Ingot Silver with Black striping. Gloss carbon fiber lowers. Silver forged aluminum wheels with titanium lugs. Dark Energy interior. Carbon ceramic disc brakes.
Ford’s customer agreement on reselling the car is as strict as the actual selection process to determine who got one as a 'brand ambassador'. With only 500 cars to go around the expectation was that it wouldn’t be sold immediately at a big profit.
