Ferrari 250 GTO Series II Left Fender = $ 28k

RM Sotheby's Arizona sale offered up without reserve, and no we aren't making this up, a Ferrari 250 GTO Series II Left Fender.

"Possibly the only example in existence, this new-old-stock 250 GTO fender is mounted on an attractive barn wood base. It is ready to be displayed as the ultimate Ferrari sculpture, or to use in case you bang up your GTO. The fender is unpainted and in excellent condition with only minor dents and scratches."

Unknown who WOULDN'T want this baby but before we rush to Arizona to pick it up the estimate is $ 15k - 20k. The fender made $ 28,800
Just 39 250 GTOs were manufactured between 1962 and 1964. This includes 33 cars with 1962-63 bodywork (Series I), three with 1964 (Series II) bodywork similar to the Ferrari 250 LM, and three "330 GTO" specials with a larger engine. They are considered the most expensive cars in the world.
